Emotional Hibernation

What do you do when your heart is on the line, when you’re unsure of what to expect because so many parts are unclear and all the while you’re still trying to process those events that took place that left you with more questions than answers, in pain and in pieces. The objective answer here is simple, an emotional hibernation is what your soul could be calling you to do. This idea can be called or referenced in so many ways but essentially it’s a phase in your life in which you create space for yourself to feel your emotions away from the bustle and noise of everyday life, you’re in an emotional bubble that protects you from outside interference and disruptions that could potentially upset or worsen a person’s condition. It’s a safe haven, a tender walking sanctuary that exists within your living and breathing body, it’s a feeling you emit that tells the world around you that you’re in a state of deep emotional healing and that you require ample time and space to just be. This can look like a less vocal and arm crossed (to feel safe/ holding yourself) version of yourself, you could be communicating less with everyone around you including friends and family and even making more time to lie down in bed listening to music, going out for walks or just doing nothing (cleaning your physical space can actually help shift energy around you in a positive way) but processing gently in a comfortable and cozy environment. You decide what's gentle enough for you, what works and what's too much to handle presently. You’re honoring yourself and your present journey at a time in which your spirit, your internal world is much more delicate. It may at first feel rough and unsettling not having the answers or a clear direction but fear not you have your own sweet arms to hold, your warming thoughts to bring you peace, and a heart so loving yet strong enough to endure this temporary whirlwind of an episode. You have your conscious self there by your side helping you take all the time out that you need to mend and reconstitute the qualms and pain into something formidable, stable and wise. Eventually you’ll see the turning of the wheel however things may land, your heart will be more than ok when you showed it all the love it needed when it was needed the most. Perhaps this was a big part of the lesson, a test of how much you can show up for yourself to give yourself endless space and love for healing, perhaps you end up healing way more than what you could anticipate, perhaps a time of feeling of really feeling our emotions was necessary for us to gain clarity for ourselves to discover where we stand and bring some illumination to our unique direction, perhaps these feelings are really guiding us in the most perfect way possible and only through confusion and pain could these feelings really “shine” the way forward. The world of emotions afterall is the most personal thus the most unique and authentic expression of our souls. When perceived and understood as a deeply healing phase an emotional hibernation can become the warmest of cocoons or a fire lit cave of sweet repose. On the exterior level however from an outsider's perspective it can seem rather moody like a depression of sorts but there’s a difference where one is a state of dwelling and deep hurt and the other a conscious blanket of thoughts, an energetic field or space, a permission even, created to safely be and feel. It’s a method of self protection and an awareness of healing. Give yourself time, be gentle towards yourself now and always, when ready or feel inclined I made a Tarot/Oracle spread to journal about this topic which can also be used as journal prompts without any divination tools.
